Trig Hill Base Camp is situated high on a forested ridge on the cross-island walkway between Whakanewha Regional Park and the Onetangi Forest & Bird Reserve. This is the Studio Gallery of Kim Wesney and when available, is a unique holiday accommodation. It is an ideal base for artists, writers, stargazers, hikers, cyclists, bird watchers, and those who want to explore the glorious scenery that Waiheke Island has to offer.
Trig Hill Base Camp is an ongoing project and we really want to share it, and by our activities contribute to the environment and wider community. We are involved in a variety of activities, Dark Sky Waiheke Island events, conservation and restoration programmes on Waiheke and further afield. Funds support – predator free programme, improving facilities, forest and gardens, and developing sustainable practices ongoing. We host bespoke House events, such as the Waiheke Winter Arts Festival, music performances, exhibitions, astronomy education, public and bespoke dark sky experiences and workshops.
